ABOUT
Since 2009, Lucy Sparkles & Friends has been providing high-quality drama, music and dance classes and parties for thousands of young children in the UK, Singapore and Australia.
Lucy Milan Davis created Lucy Sparkles & Friends out of a love for children and a passion to provide them with classes and parties of a standard that they deserve – but also to redress the lack of education and quality that she sees within many of the drama, music and dance classes on offer for young children.
Our number one goal is to make children’s classes educational as well as fun! Our lessons and parties are designed and delivered in line with Kodaly and Dalcroze learning principles, as well as the Early Years Learning Framework in Australia.
At Lucy Sparkles & Friends, we believe in quality over quantity. That is why we have a small but highly experienced and talented team. All of our teachers are qualified and professional musicians and performers with a passion for working with children in their early years and have all obtained their Working with Children Check certification.
OUR MELBOURNE TEAM
Our Head Sparkle, Nisha Joseph, initially joined Lucy Sparkles & Friends as a teacher and entertainer in Singapore, where her passion and talent quickly shone through. A professionally trained actor from the Victorian College of the Arts (Class of 2016) in Melbourne, Australia, Nisha is now bringing her unique sparkle to Melbourne, continuing to inspire and entertain with her boundless energy and creativity.
Nisha has divided her time between Singapore and Melbourne, and her diverse experience spans film, theater (both musical and non-musical), and voiceover work for Amazon’s Audible. Outside of her professional endeavors, Nisha enjoys singing, playing the ukulele, and is currently relearning the piano and guitar.
As a child, Nisha was notably quiet and shy, leading her concerned parents to enrol her in music and drama classes. These formative experiences ignited her enduring love for the arts and transformed her into a performer and teacher who connects effortlessly with others. Through her journey, Nisha has come to deeply appreciate the transformative power of the arts in nurturing and empowering children. She is dedicated to supporting each child’s unique journey, believing wholeheartedly that the energy and enthusiasm invested in them are returned tenfold.
Victoria Sparkles is a professional actor, singer and musician that graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Music Theatre. She has performed in many productions in the UK using her skills in voice, guitar and ukulele. She has also performed in world renowned venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and The Painted Hall.
Victoria loves working with children and has been a teacher and entertainer with Lucy Sparkles for the last 6 years in the UK and is excited to teach in Melbourne. Understanding how children learn through music, dance and drama has been a joy, their relentless curiosity, humour and enthusiasm is infectious.
